Warrior Poets. That is what we are called to be. We live in the midst of a great spiritual war where the enemy has no flesh, no blood…but “one little word shall fell him”. The Word is the sword in this war. We are to have the Word in our bloodstream. We are to be “masters of these collections” who as a result are like “well driven nails”. To have the Word at the ready, and use it according to the need of the moment. To give grace to those who hear it. To say what is right about God, not like Job’s “friends”. Those “friends” spoke as though discussing the knowledge of God was merely a gentleman’s hobby, showing no humility nor insight to apply it rightly….”You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life but it is these that bear witness of Me” (Jesus).
May I learn to say what is right about God, at the right time, in the right way, for the right reason.
